SHREK COSTUME, HAIR AND MAKEUP INFORMATION
Here you will find a link to the Costume Information Chart- ON THE CHART PLEASE FIND YOUR STUDENT’S NAME /CHARACTER(S) that they are playing in SHREK.
**We are charging a reasonable rental fee per student, NOT PER COSTUME. Most student have more than one costume so this come to approx $10 per costume. Many include wigs, which by themselves are generally $35- $40.
- THE COSTUME RENTAL FEE IS PER STUDENT AND THAT AMOUNT CAN BE FOUND BY CLICKING THE BUTTON ABOVE. COSTUME FEES ARE PER STUDENT AND NOT PER COSTUME.
*COSTUME RENTAL FEES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN APRIL 26 AND SHOULD BE PAID ON THE ONLINE PAYMENT PAGE, this is the same page that you pay monthly tuition.

GO TO THE COLUMN TITLED “ ITEMS THAT YOU NEED TO SUPPLY FROM HOME” FOR A LIST OF WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING FROM HOME. Please bring these items from home no later than May 4th.
***All students should be wearing clothing underneath their costumes for modesty during quick costume changes and to help keep costumes clean . Ex. Leotards, shorts, camisole tank top, t-shirts.
Stage makeup & Hair instructions- all must wear stage makeup.
Students need to wear costumes and makeup (first year students may wait to wear makeup until Wednesday, June 2nd if you need more time to get makeup supplies) on May 24 at our last rehearsal at Grace.

SHREK, MAMA OGRE, PAPA OGRE, YOUNG OGRE, FIONA OGRE DOUBLE, FIONA WEDDING OGRE- LYT has the ogre green and prosthetics for these characters. Please bring disposable makeup wipes if you are doing a makeup change during the show so you can remove the green makeup.

All others characters should have basic stage makeup for male or female, see supply list below and application tutorial links above.
All other cast members need to follow basic stage makeup-
Stage Makeup kits and guidelines- All actors are required to provide their own makeup kit for each production. A Basic Makeup Kit list is provided below. If possible, wear makeup to the last dress rehearsal at Grace before we go to the theatre the next week. Please label everything.
In addition to the basic kit, actors may want to bring the following items in their kits : Hair spray, Bath towel, face cloth, comb/brush, hair gel, Deodorant (VERY IMPORTANT), makeup remover (disposable face wipes work well), moisturizer, safety pins, small mirror, hair pins, **bike shorts, t-shirts, or leotards must be worn under our costumes for modesty in quick changes and to keep them clean.
Other items to add to kits are cards or other easy to put away games, water bottle with sport lid.
Do makeup first; put your costume on second. We have a limited dressing area for the production. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep it clean and neat. We have cleaning supplies for touch ups. No eating in costume, EVER, unless you bring a cover up, such as an oversized button up shirt.
Drinks must be in a covered container with a sport lid and water only.
Basic Makeup Kit Male and female playing male character-
o Crème Foundation ,matches your skin tone(the color should match the skin just below the chin line)
o Eyeliner (brown/black)
o Brown eye shadow
o Brown shade of blush (no pinks or roses for males)
o Loose translucent powder
o Brown shade of lipstick
o If your character is an older adult, please add a white eyeliner/eyebrow pencil as you will use this for aging your character.
o Makeup carrying case

**I would encourage everyone to consider switching to theatrical makeup as that will always be available and is the same price and a little goes a long way.
