This is an educational theatre production. All students in grades 4–12 who are enrolled in LIFELIGHT YOUTH THEATRE'S theatre classes and participate in auditions will be cast in the show. Auditions help us find the best role for each student to learn, grow, and shine!
We will be using the Show|Ready accompaniment for auditions. Keep reading....

Grades 4–5 — All Students
“Ten Minutes Ago”- Measures 214–238, Sing the melody.
Grades 6–8 — Girls
ALL PREPARE: “Ten Minutes Ago,” measures 214–238. Sing the melody.
Then choose one:
Cinderella: “In My Own Little Corner”- Measures 29–54
or
Stepsisters: “Stepsisters’ Lament”- Measures 53–80. Prepare both roles.
Grades 6–8 — Boys
ALL PREPARE: “Ten Minutes Ago,” measures 214–238. Sing the melody.

LifeLight Youth Theatre proudly presents our 2027 MainStage Production:
RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA!
Get ready for glass slippers, a royal ball, and a little possibility—Cinderella is coming to LifeLight!
We’re thrilled to announce that our 2027 MainStage musical will be Cinderella! Filled with beautiful music, lively dance numbers, and heartwarming moments, this beloved story reminds us of the power of kindness, courage, and hope.
This production will showcase everything we love about LYT: community, creativity, and Christ-centered excellence. We can’t wait to see our talented students bring Cinderella’s world to life on stage!

AUDITION DATES & INFORMATION:
Vocal & Acting Auditions: Saturday, November 14 or Monday, November 23 (by time slot sign-up, CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR IN PERSON AUDITION TIME SLOT )
Nov 14 at OFallon Christian Church(enter through main doors by carport) or
Nov 23 at Calvary.
PLEASE FILL OUT THE MAINSTAGE Production Fee/Audition Form/Show Contract Form before you arrive for your Vocal audition day.
Each actor receives a numbered audition tag that you will safety pin to your shirt and we will take a your photo. Auditions numbers will be reused for dance auditions on November 23.
You will sing a portion from the below songs from CINDERELLA- scroll down to see songs/requirements for your grade group.
Auditions are closed; parents may wait in the lobby.
Dance Auditions: Monday, November 23 (3pm- 4:15pm )at Calvary Church.
Dance auditions are for ALL! COSTUME MEASUREMENTS WILL BE TAKEN TODAY, Wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in, nothing too baggy since we are taking your measurements. This show has LOTS of dance roles. Bring ballet, jazz, character shoes, if you have them. The group will learn and perform a short dance combination, no dance experience required.
Callback Auditions (Dance, Vocal and Acting (cold readings): Monday, November 30 (Dance callback 3pm- 4:15pm and Vocal/Acting callbacks 4:30–5:30 PM at Calvary Church)
Callback list will be posted online November 24. Not being called back doesn’t mean you aren’t cast; callbacks simply allow additional readings and short song excerpts. CALL BACK MATERIALS COMING SOON.
You may be asked to read from the audition sides below during your callback audition. These are available for your review below and do not need to be memorized, but it is helpful to be familiar with them.
Production Fee: CLICK HERE TO PAY PRODUCTION FEE
Each cast member pays a $160 production fee to help cover theatre rental, show licensing/royalties,script rentals, sets, props and technical production costs. Production fees only cover a portion and the rest is made up from ticket sales.
Families may also use the Butter Braid fundraiser to offset part or all of the fee. You earn approximately $7 per butter braid sold.
You may pay the production fee in two installment payments, one due by November 14 and the 2nd by December 12. Installment payments have a small admin fee added.
ATTIRE & PREP
- Dress neatly and with confidence. Choose clothing that enhances your personality.
- For the dance portion, bring ballet/jazz/character shoes if available; otherwise, wear shoes that are easy to move in.
- Memorize audition song (s).
- Complete the online audition & production fee form by November 14, 2026.
